OKO relay delivers 16A in less than 16mm

With more than 500 types, the OKO range of relays provide the perfect solution for designers needing quality products with UL recognition for their designs.

The K4T/K5T series, is just one part of the range, encompassing 40 versions, for power applications up to 16A. OKO, who's products are exclusively distributed by Anglia, have designed the series so it utilises the 3.5mm and 5mm footprint patterns that are common to most PCB relay customers, yet it is more than a third smaller than the industry standard relay.
The benefit of such a relay is clear when you consider consumer demand for smaller household appliances, and the miniaturisation of industrial equipment. At under 16mm high it is best suited to designs such as boiler controls, interface modules, and timers, or other applications where space is at a premium.

The series is available as a single or double pole relay, the former being capable of 12A or 16A, the latter 8A. With changeover or normally open contact configurations, it is a direct replacement for the both the larger 'standard sized' relays and the newer ranges of low profile product offered by other manufacturers. All models in the series are capable of 5kVac coil to contact.

As with all of OKO's products, the range undergoes strict product testing both at the factory and at Anglia's headquarters in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. To further ensure reliability the K4T and K5T series meet VDE 0700 requirements for household products according to VDE0110, making it ideal for manufacturers of white and brown goods.

As always the OKO relay designers have demonstrated their commitment to reducing the electronics industries impact on the environment by reducing coil power consumption by more than 25% throughout the series. These moves are also of benefit to the customer, reducing overall power consumption (many boards will have 4 or 5 of these relays per unit).

John Nash, Relay Marketing Manager for Anglia added, "This range is everything a power designer could dream of - approved, reliable and capable of switching up to 16A. Combined with our stocking policy and very competitive pricing structure, we can provide the perfect solution for designers, manufacturers and subcontractors in the industrial and domestic markets."

The K4T/K5T are available in 5, 6, 12, 24, and 48Vdc coils as standard, with other voltages are available upon request.
